I haven’t started decorating for the holidays yet. Maybe I need a western style wreath for my house.

While not the red and green of Christmas decorations one might be seeing now, the summer time green surrounding the barn with its little bit of red is different than how it looks now with bare trees and white snow covering the ground and roof.

Icicles come in all shapes and sizes and they can reflect the view around them as well as reflecting a tiny star by the captured sunlight. But even though they are reflecting the sunlight, they are not giving off any heat and to me they are only reflecting the bitter cold temperatures.

The pink sunset adds some color to the white landscape but it also reveals the lingering ice on the limbs.

I rather listen to the leaves rustling in the breeze than the rattle of icy branches covered in ice and seeing the duller colors of oak leaves is still more colorful than the snowy limbs.

The ground outside is still white covered even if it was above zero finally today but I rather see a field covered with white daisies than with snow!

Even with the sun out bright, I still have trouble imaging that I am on a warm beach and what I see is sand instead of snow. I suppose the -25ºF wind chill and the frozen seat might be a factor in my lack of imagination.

Despite the apparent age of the truck, it appears as though it still has some ‘get up and go’ left in it. But with temperatures below zero again today, I think I would prefer a vehicle with side windows in it due to the very cold wind chills even though it is a beautiful truck.
